2. Overview
We only process personal data where this is necessary for a functioning website, for answering your enquiries or on the basis of your consent. This website uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services and does not itself set any cookies for visitors. Fonts are loaded locally from our own server; no connection to Google or any other third party is made.
If you choose a language using the language switcher, we store this choice only in your browser (local storage) so that the website appears in your language on your next visit. This information is not transmitted to us or to any third party. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings. The legal basis is Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, as storing it is strictly necessary for the language selection you have expressly requested.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit the website, STRATO processes the access data described below on our behalf. We have concluded a data processing agreement with STRATO pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Server log files
Each time the site is accessed, information transmitted by your browser is recorded automatically: IP address, date and time of access, page visited, referrer URL, browser and operating system. This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and ensure its security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is not combined with other data sources. The retention period is determined by our host’s specifications.
5. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the padlock icon in your browser’s address bar.
6. Contact form and email
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the information you provide (name, email address, optionally your phone number, your message) to handle your enquiry. The message is sent to us by email and is not stored in a website database. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
To prevent misuse, we store an encrypted check value of your IP address for one hour; the address cannot be derived from it. We delete your enquiry once it has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
7. Google Maps
You can display a Google Maps map on our website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map is only loaded when you click “Load map”. No data is transferred to Google beforehand.
After your click, data such as your IP address is transmitted to Google; Google may set cookies and may also transfer data to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG), which you give by clicking and which applies only to this page visit. For more information, see Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
8. Your rights
You have the right at any time to access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), and to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

We only store personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or required by statutory retention periods.
